Dr. Wang is a co-founder and CEO of AM Batteries and the co-inventor of the dry electrode technology. As a Professor at WPI, he has been investigating dry electrode manufacturing since 2013. He is an expert in battery technologies with over 12 years of experience in the field. He is also the co-founder and chief scientist of Battery Resourcers, Inc., which is the leading company on lithium ion battery recycling.
As a global Li–ion technology leader Dr. Shi brings both a broad perspective and industry–leading expertise to his work with more than 30-years’ experience in rechargeable lithium battery and Li-ion battery industries. He started up a battery material company and as the earliest employee helped a company to successfully develop and commercialize novel battery technologies. He also was an effective partner with global sales teams in productizing new technologies in a well-known global material company. Dr. Shi holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry and a M.Sc. in Polymer Science from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry/Electrochemistry from St. Andrews University in Scotland, UK.
Dr. Pan is a co-founder of AM Batteries and co-inventor of the dry powder based additive manufacturing of batteries. He has been investigating additive manufacturing of lithium ion battery at Missouri S&T and Texas A&M since 2014. He is an expert in additive manufacturing and micro/nano laser processing with over 11 years of experience in the field.
Omri Flaisher is the Director of Technology Development and has been working with the company since the start of 2021. He specializes in technology industrialization, process automation, and business development. Over the course of 5 years, Omri worked for a Fortune 500 company scaling R&D technologies and leading multi-million-dollar factory automation projects. He has deep insights into industrial equipment design, controls, quality control, & operation.
John Zani is a Process Engineer and has been working with the company since fall 2021. He has past experience in modifying, improving, and validating pilot processes focused on conductive additives and coatings for lithium-ion batteries. Additionally, he is skilled in design of experiments, GR&R studies, and hazardous particulate handling.
